Charlatan is the very finest Pinot Noir we make. The 2012 is the oldest vintage that we have in the cellar and is fully mature. It was a stunning wine on release and has continued to be a favorite of our customers. The 2013 Charlatan is a personal favorite, from a true winemaker’s vintage. It has matured into an exceptionally elegant, complex wine and has been a big hit on our dinner table for holiday gatherings. The 2014 Charlatan was a little different in its development verses the other two vintages. Initially, when first released, the 2014 was quite reserved, with closed aromatics and a restrained palate. In the last year it has matured, evolved and opened up wonderful fruit characteristics and depth. Frequently it is the favorite vintage in our six-vintage tasting of Charlatan at the winery.
