Questions about the List...

Q: How can I buy Perception wines?

A: We sell 90% of our wines directly to our Mailing List Members. There are limited spaces currently available on the List. Once the List is filled, there will be a wait before any new members will be added to the active Perception Wines Mailing List.  The remaining quantities of wine are sold in small allotments to a handful of restaurants across the country. All of our wines are sold for retail price to all customers—restaurants, wine shops and List members.

Q: Is there a wine club?

A: No—only our List of customers. Once you have been added to the List, each Spring and Fall you will receive a newsletter and access to your allocation online. The allocation system will show the maximum number of bottles of each wine that are available for you to purchase. Each allocation is offered on a first come, first served basis; wines are not reserved. With such  small quantities of wine produced and the strong demand for the wine, we expect to sell out of wines quickly with each release.  It is important to secure your allocation and make your purchase early in order to be sure of obtaining the wines you want.

Q: Is there tasting room?

A: No. With such a small amount of wine produced, we do not have enough inventory to sustain a tasting room.

Q: Can we come for a visit?

A: We are not open to the public for tours.  However, we do offer tours by appointment to current Mailing List members. We need advance notice to schedule tours. Click here for contact information.

Q: How do I pay for my Mailing List allocation?

A: During the initial registration for the List, you will be asked to provide (via secure connection) a valid credit card to pay for your purchase.  Prior to each release List Members are reminded to update their contact information, shipping address and credit card information.  We will simply charge your credit card for the wines that you have purchased when they are shipped from our warehouse.

Q: How much does it cost to join?

A: There are no fees to join the Members Mailing List. You only pay for the cost of the wine, shipping fees, and any applicable taxes.

Q: When do shipments go out?

A: Shipments are sent our twice a year once in the Spring & once in the Fall. We take into account weather restrictions when timing our wine shipments.

Q: Can I pick my wine instead of having it shipped?

A: If you would prefer to pickup your wines at the winery (located just north of downtown Santa Rosa, CA), then please let us know that. We would love to meet you!

Q: Why can't you ship to my state?

A: Interstate shipping of wine is an extremely complicated process with little each state having it's own regulations, laws and taxes.  With our extremely limited production our wines are not available in all states.  We currently ship to 22 states (AL, AK, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IA, LA, MN, MO, MT, NH, NM, NY, NC, OH, OR, SC, TX, VA & WA) and the District of Columbia.  As state shipping regulations change to allow more direct shipment to customers, regulations become less cumbersome, fees become more affordable for small wineries and as our production allows, we will begin to ship to additional states.  For those who live in areas that we cannot ship, but who wish to stay in touch with what is happening at Perception Wines, please sign up to receive our semiannual Newsletter via email.

Q: What if I decide to leave the Mailing List?

A: There are no fees to be a Mailing List Member and there are no penalties for withdrawing from the List.  A List Member may choose at any time to: not purchase their current allocation, to purchase only part of their current allocation, become an inactive List Member or request removal from the List.
